Screen Cleaning in Saratoga Springs, NY
Machine cleaning that scrubs both sides of window and door screens without stretching the mesh or bending the frame.
Screens get overlooked because wiping them with a rag feels like enough. It is not. Dust and pollen work into the mesh from both sides, and a rag only moves surface grime around while pressing embedded grit deeper into the weave. That grit is what ends up scratching your glass the next time the screen brushes against it.
A rotating bristle machine cleans both faces of the screen at once with even pressure across the whole panel, which gets the mesh clean without the stretching or tearing that comes from someone scrubbing by hand with a brush. Each screen is checked for bent corners or loose spline before it goes back in, since a screen that does not sit flat in the track will work itself loose again within a season regardless of how clean it is.
Cottonwood seed, pollen, and the fine dust kicked up by winter road sanding all settle into screen mesh here more than in drier climates, and a screen clogged with that buildup blocks airflow and traps moisture against the frame long before it looks dirty to the eye.
How it runs
- Removal Screens are taken out of every track and grouped by size and window.
- Inspection Each frame is checked for bent corners, torn mesh, or loose spline before cleaning.
- Machine wash The screen runs through the rotating bristle machine, which scrubs both faces of the mesh at the same time.
- Rinse and dry Screens are rinsed clean and given time to dry fully before they go back in.
- Reinstall Each screen is refitted into its original track and checked for a flush, even seat.
